Dr. Jacob Hussey
Dr. Jacob Hussey grew up in Baldwin Park and has always been drawn to helping people move and perform at their best. He earned his B.S. in Applied Exercise Science from Oklahoma State University before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Azusa Pacific University. Before becoming a physical therapist, Jacob spent time working in sports and personal training, experience that continues to shape how he coaches patients through recovery. Based out of the Chino location, he also oversees training for the clinic's aides, and he has a particular interest in return-to-sport rehabilitation, TMJ disorders, and post-operative care. Jacob's goal with every patient is the same one he had as a trainer: helping people feel strong and confident in their bodies again.
“They may not remember your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou's words remind me every day why the way I treat people matters just as much as the treatment plan itself.
What guides the work.
Jacob's background in sports and personal training taught him that rehab isn't just about exercises, it's about how a patient feels walking out the door. He focuses heavily on return-to-sport rehabilitation, TMJ disorders, and post-operative recovery, tailoring his approach to whatever stage of the comeback a patient is in. As the therapist who also trains the clinic's aides in Chino, he holds himself and his team to a standard of genuine care, not just technical skill. For Jacob, the measure of a good session is whether a patient leaves feeling better, both physically and mentally, than when they walked in.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
When he's not at the clinic, Jacob is usually on a court or a course somewhere, whether that's pickleball, basketball, volleyball, or golf. He's just as happy unwinding with a good book or a video game, balancing an active lifestyle with some quieter downtime.
