Dr. Jason Jan Brieva
Dr. Jason Jan Brieva grew up in West Covina and brings a genuine passion for helping people move better to every session. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2016, then completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree as part of the inaugural class at Western University of Health Sciences. His clinical training took him through Concentra, Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, and California Rehabilitation & Sports Therapy, giving him a broad foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and geriatric care. Jason is especially drawn to motivational interviewing, using it to help patients find their own reasons to stay committed to recovery. He approaches every patient with patience and encouragement, meeting them where they are and helping them build the confidence to keep moving forward.
“We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.”
What guides the work.
Jason believes recovery works best when it's a partnership. Drawing on his experience across orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and geriatric care, he tailors each plan to the person in front of him instead of a generic protocol. He leans on motivational interviewing to understand what actually drives a patient, then builds a program around that motivation. For Jason, adjusting the sails means staying flexible: adapting the plan as a patient progresses, rather than asking them to force-fit an approach that isn't working.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
Outside the clinic, Jason is a proud Harry Potter fan who still finds time to reread the series. He loves spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking for family and friends, and staying active through the gym, volleyball, and pickleball. At home, he's kept plenty busy by his toy poodle, Bella.
