Dr. Justin Carrido
Dr. Justin Carrido grew up in Sacramento before moving to Southern California in 2013. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton and went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University. As Clinic Director and a treating physical therapist at Empower, he specializes in orthopedic and sports injuries alongside pediatric and neurological conditions, including post-stroke recovery, Parkinson's, MS, TBI, dizziness and fatigue, post-motor-vehicle-accident rehab, and fall prevention. That range lets him work with patients across nearly every stage of recovery, from athletes getting back on the field to older adults working to move through their day with more confidence. In every appointment, he brings the same steady, attentive presence to the person in front of him.
“Rooted in my faith, I try to walk into every room and every conversation with humility, empathy, and grace. That's the standard I hold myself to with every person I treat.”
What guides the work.
As Clinic Director, Dr. Carrido holds himself and the team to a standard built on humility, empathy, and grace with every patient who walks through the door. Clinically, that shows up in the range of conditions he treats, from orthopedic and sports injuries to neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinson's, MS, and TBI, always adjusting his approach to fit the person in front of him rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. He sees physical therapy as more than exercises and manual work, it's about helping people move through their lives with more confidence and less fear.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
Outside of work, Dr. Carrido stays active with pickleball and running, though he used to spend most of his free time on the basketball court. That competitive, active streak carries over into how he approaches recovery with his patients: with energy, patience, and a belief that consistent work pays off.
