Patient Care Coordinator

I was born and raised in California . I received my certification from Medical Billing and Coding from American Career College . This opened up the healthcare world to me and I knew that this is where I belong.

I started off from working in a Medical Billing and Coding office to working in a few offices where I did Patient Care . Growing up I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do but what I did know was that I needed to help people.

What do you do for the company?

I am a Patient Care Coordinator that helps manage patient appointments,communicates with healthcare providers and ensures patients receive personalized care. It’s my responsibility to ensure overall patient experience and seamless care.

Something patients have to deal with that you want to fix?

Some patients get discouraged with their progress but everyone progresses at different times . It’s very important to communicate with your provider so they can develop a care of plan that is catered only you . Where there will be an exercise program that will help you continue your treatment when your not in the office to get you to your goal.

What Conditions you enjoy treating?

I enjoy doing this because it allows me to have a meaningful difference in people lived by helping them navigate the healthcare system.I am able to blend , communication , ensure patients feel supported and informed throughout their care.

What do you like about working here?

I love working at Empower PT because it feels so welcoming from the providers , staff and patients. Everyone makes you feel at home like a family and we are here to help one another.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working , I am spending time with my family and friends . I also am a Fur Mama to my children Maxie and Chelsea .

My direct care was with Dr Rosslyn Torres, one of the best PT clinicians I’ve experienced. From,Nicole and Jenn at the front desk, scheduling, insurance update, and coordinating with my surgical staff, made it easy – to the techs, Vidal, Jen,Emily and Jacob, who supported my exercises and efforts, setting up equipment, ice and anything else I needed, always pleasantly coordinating with Dr Ros. Hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, all good to work with.
