Hi, this is Dr. Carlo Sayo, PT and founder of Empower Physical Therapy & Wellness here in Chino Hills.

If you’re reading this, most likely you are a parent of a CHHS Baseball Player who wants to make sure their child DOES NOT GET HURT playing the game he loves. As a parent of three kids who play sports myself, I know that the safety, health and happiness of my children are our top priority. I also know that life can get busy. And sometimes when we want to help our athlete, but we don’t know how to help them.

This is why we created this resource for you and your athlete. We were given the opportunity to speak to the team and the coaches about what concerns them the most. When we meet with the baseball team and staff, they had questions about:

  • Shoulder injuries
  • What is the rotator cuff?
  • Bicep Injuries
  • Elbow injuries
  • What to do during the off season
  • How to do gym exercises (bench press and rows) safely
  • Who to talk to if you have an injury
  • And more!

Some athletes even came up to us and told us their shoulders and elbows are already hurting!

To help your athlete we wanted to give them something simple and effective to help them avoid injuries. We put together 3 exercises they should do during the off season to help reduce their chances of injuries. These exercises are simple, effective and need no equipment. We even went over this with them when we met, so they have seen these before!
