Dr. Jacob Hussey, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

I grew up in Baldwin Park California, transitioning to obtaining my Bachelor’s in Applied Exercise Science at Oklahoma State University and achieving my Doctorate at Azusa Pacific University.

I am a licensed physical therapist with a large personal background in sports and personal training. I obtained my license in 2025, primarily working in the orthopedic setting here at Empower!

As a physical therapist, my practice is grounded in two core values: respect and compassion. I believe every patient deserves to be heard, understood, and treated as an individual with unique goals, challenges, and experiences. By approaching each interaction with empathy and genuine care, I strive to create a supportive environment where patients feel safe, valued, and motivated in their recovery journey. Respect guides how I honor each person’s perspective and autonomy, while compassion drives my commitment to helping them regain function, confidence, and quality of life.

At Empower Chino, I am in charge of ensuring our aides are well trained and ready to help our patients gain the most improvement as safely as possible with their therapeutic exercises.

There are millions of people in the world who don’t know that their pain can be improved without the dependence on medication. Many people are unaware of what physical therapy entails and how it can improve their function and pain levels. I want my patients to know I will do my best to help them in any way I can.

Some of the conditions I enjoy treating include return-to-sport rehabilitation, TMJ disorders, and post-operative procedures, where I can help patients reduce pain, restore function, and regain confidence in their movement without relying solely on medication.

We have a great team that makes coming to work a pleasure and not a chore. I love being a Physical Therapist and helping people each day achieve their goals.

Outside of work I have too many hobbies to count. I enjoy playing pickleball/basketball/volleyball/golf, reading, playing video games and spending time with my Fiance.
