Ok, so the craziness of the holidays are starting! For most people this is the time of the year things are becoming hectic. Even though most people enjoy this season, for many, the holidays can be very stressful, not just mentally but physically.
That nagging stiffness and “on again, off again” pain to your lower back that normally goes away has either not changed or has actually become worse!
This is one of the most common things that happen around this time of year. And how do I know this? Just pay attention to the Holiday parties you are going to attend in the next few weeks. How many times will someone tell you:
“My back is sore!”
“I think I have “sciatica”?…”
“My back has been killing me!”
And if you don’t hear anyone telling you this, chances are you are that person suffering from low back pain.
It is very common for people who have that nagging low back soreness and stiffness, to all of a sudden have much more severe and intense pain especially during the holidays.
Here Are Some of the Reasons Your Low Back Pain Can Get Worse During the Holidays:
The most frustrating to many of the people that go through this, is that they expected the low back stiffness, soreness and pain to go away once the holidays are over.
Unfortunately, for a lot of people this just isn’t the case.
They continue to wake up with severe pain in the morning, they are slower to get their day started, and they are constantly scared of the pain crippling them! They can’t even think about possibly going back to some of the things they think could help (walking, exercising, stretching).
And the WORSE part of all is this? It is that people get so worried about making things worse that they simply won’t do anything about it.
This is the worst thing a person suffering from low back pain could do.
Ignoring the signs your low back is giving you (pain), and hoping it will go away now that the holidays are over.
“I’ll wait until after the holidays!”
This is something so many people with low back pain say to others (or themselves) too often when they don’t know what else to do to ease their pain.
If you are one of those people, I have some good news: There are real solutions out there, all you have to do is ask.
